Tanged Graphite Gaskets

Tanged graphite is made by combining flexible graphite sheets with a thin metal tang. The metal tang is embedded within the graphite material, which adds strength and support to the flexible graphite. The composition of the material ensures dimensional stability, improved handling during installation, enhanced sealability, resistance to compression, high-temperature resilience, and chemical resistance.

Our tanged graphite gaskets are made from pure expanded mineral graphite laminate with a 316/316L stainless steel tang. This mix provides the gasket with exceptional strength, temperature resistance, and chemical durability, ideal for use in steam, refinery, and petrochemical industries, or anywhere else where there is the presence of high-temperature media.

Compressed Graphite Gaskets

Compressed graphite refers to graphite that has been compressed into a solid mass by applying pressure to powdered graphite without the use of binders or additives. Our compressed graphite gaskets are made from a mix of kevlar, graphite, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), and synthetic fibres under high temperatures and pressure.

This combination allows the finished gaskets to have exceptional strength, pressure, and temperature ratings. They stand out as the ideal all-around gasket material, effortlessly handling a diverse range of temperatures, pressures, and media. When uncertain, opt for this versatile option, as it offers reliability across various applications.

Moulded Rubber Gaskets

Moulded rubber gaskets offer precise and customisable solutions. Their resilience allows them to fill uneven spots, sealing openings completely to prevent seepage or stalactites that can cause corrosion. They are very easy to remove, leave surfaces clean, and require minimal effort for reinstallation - no chiselling or buffing needed. Our moulded rubber gaskets are intended to be used for manholes, steam boilers, water heaters, and air tanks.

Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Gaskets

PTFE plastic is chemically inert, has high tensile strength, and handles high temperatures well. Expanded PTFE retains all the beneficial characteristics of standard PTFE but is also very resistant to creep and cold flow, so it is well suited for conditions of high stress or pressure for prolonged periods of time.

Our gaskets are made from 100% multi-directionally expanded PTFE, giving them dimensional stability, in addition to high tensile strengths and chemical inertness. They can be used with all types of flanges and fluids, including irregular flanges, and have a long shelf life.

Spiral Wound Gaskets

Spiral wound gaskets are made from a combination of a soft material, like graphite or PTFE, and a hard thin metal strip that is wound in a spiral pattern to form a sealing ring. They contain an outer and inner ring and a middle sealing layer. The inner and outer rings are made from the metal strip while the filler is made from the softer material.

The winding of the metal strip and filler creates a resilient and compressible sealing element that can withstand high operating pressures and is inert to other media. Our spiral wound gaskets are made from cast steel inner and outer rings and a 316 stainless steel and graphite middle sealing layer. They are ideally used in high-temperature applications where softer gaskets are not as effective, such as in steam lines.
